SKI WORLD CUP IN KITZBUEHEL, AUSTRIA, AND CORTINA D’AMPEZZO, ITALY
REUSCH ATHLETES RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF AN AMAZING ALPINE ATMOSPHERE

Fantastic weather conditions and incredible ski performances made the Ski World Cup in Kitzbuehel an unforgettable event for everybody. Especially for Swiss Didier Cuche it became a big success winning the Super G and the downhill race which hasn’t happened since 2002. Felix Neureuther from Germany, sponsored by Reusch as well, came in first in slalom. Further medals for Reusch have been won by Michael Walchhofer (2nd in Super G), Georg Streitberger (3rd in Super G), Silvan Zurbriggen (2nd in Combined), Benjamin Raich (3rd in Combined), Julien Lizeroux (2nd in slalom) and Andrej Sporn (2nd downhill). Wow, what a list!
In total Benni Raich takes over the leadership of the overall World Cup ahead of Carlo Janka.
Also in Cortina d’Ampezzo the ladies gave it all! American Lindsey Vonn reached the top in Super G and downhill. Her best friend Maria Riesch came in second in downhill. Viktoria Rebensburg and Kathrin Hoelzl, both racing with Reusch, won silver and bronze in Giant Slalom.
Even if you haven’t joined directly on site, it’s easy to see, that this has been an amazing event. With no doubt our athletes have been an essential part of it. Congratulations! |
